Williams and Ereu Garner SAC Baseball Players of the Week Honors

Oklahoma City – Kyle Williams of Mid-America Christian was named this week’s Sooner Athletic Conference Baseball Player of the Week while Brian Ereu of Science & Arts earned the Pitcher of the Week honor for their efforts ending March 24, 2024, announced by the league office Monday morning.

Williams led the Evangels in a big week from the plate, slashing 11-for-17 for a batting average of .647 with five doubles and a pair of homers for 12 RBIs and scored seven runs. Overall, MACU went 4-0 and outscored their opponents 57-10, including 48-10 in the three-game sweep at Oklahoma Panhandle State.

Ereu delivered his best start of the season on the mound, improving his record to 6-0 as he went all 7.0 innings, allowing only one run on three hits, and struck out eight batters in a 9-1 victory over Central Christian. Ereu finished the outing with a .57 WHIP in the win for the Drovers.
